ELECTRONIC DENTAL AND ORAL HEALTH MODULE TO INCREASE MOTHER'S KNOWLEDGE IN PRESCHOOL CHILDREN

Background: Pre-school children often have health problems including general health, developmental disorders, learning disorders and behavioral disorders. An abnormality that often occurs in the mouth is damage to the hard tissue of the teeth which is often called dental caries. Health education for children is usually carried out through various preventive and promotive efforts by providing (Dental Health Education). The family influences the attitudes and beliefs of its members. Objective: To determine the increase in mothers knowledge using electronic modules. Method: The research used was Quasi-Experimental with a quantitative design approach, namely pre and post test control group design. The sample for this study was parents divided into 2 groups, namely the intervention group and the control group with a total of 60 people. Analysis uses the Independent T-Test. Results: The results of the analysis using the Independent T-Test obtained ?-value = 0.023 (? < 0.05), meaning that there was a significant difference between the intervention group and the control group. Conclusion: The use of modules has a significant impact on learning methods with possible discussion of modules also having an influence on increasing skill scores mothers in preschool children.Downloads
