TRUTH OR DARE GAME ON THE KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS OF BRUSHING TEETH OF STUDENTS IN CLASS IV MI CILEDUG TASIKMALAYA CITY

Background: Dental health is important for individuals, including children. Childhood is a very important period for maintaining dental health. The condition of deciduous teeth will determine the condition of the replacement teeth, therefore it is very important to maintain dental health at this time. Counseling using truth or dare game media can have an effect on increasing students' knowledge, attitudes and actions to maintain dental and oral health. Objective: This study aims to determine the effect of dental and oral health counseling using the game truth or dare on the knowledge and skills of brushing teeth of fourth grade students of MI Ciledug, Tasikmalaya City. Methods: Quasy experimental with one group pre-post test design, the number of research samples is 44 students of class IV MI Ciledug Tasikmalaya City using total sampling. The measuring instruments used are questionnaires and observation sheets for brushing teeth, data analysis using the Wilcoxon test. Result: statistical test obtained a significance value of 0.000 <0.05 explaining that there is a significant effect of counseling using the truth or dare game on the knowledge and brushing skills of fourth grade students of MI Ciledug. Conclusion: Counseling on oral and dental health using the game of truth or dare has an effect on the knowledge and skills of brushing teeth for fourth grade students of MI Ciledug, Tasikmalaya City.Downloads
