One of the risk
factors for CHD is obesity. Patients with obesity have lipid levels that can cause atherosclerosis. In previous studies,
there were differences of opinion regarding the relationship between obesity and the incidence of CHD, namely that there
was no relationship between obesity and the incidence of CHD. The purpose of this study was to determine whether there
is a relationship between obesity and the incidence of CHD. The research method used is quantitative with a case control
approach. The sample in this study were 170 respondents who were treated at the heart polyclinic at the Jakarta Islamic
Hospital Cempaka Putih using a consecutive sampling technique. The samples were measured for height and weight for
obesity, as well as interviews regarding age, gender, family history of CHD, smoking history. The diagnosis of CHD in
respondents was determined by looking at medical records. The results showed that there was a relationship between
obesity and the incidence of CHD with a P value = 0.012. The conclusion of this study is that there is a relationship
between obesity and the incidence of CHD in patients at the Jakarta Islamic Hospital Cempaka Putih Polyclinic.
Recommendations for further research are expected to be able to examine the relationship between other risk factors for
CHD and CHD incidence.
Muhammad Syahryan Gibran, Uun Nurulhuda Copyright (c) 2023 Journal of Health and Cardiovascular Nursing http://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/4.0 https://ejournal.poltekkesjakarta1.ac.id/index.php/perawat/article/view/1092 Mon, 11 Dec 2023 00:00:00 +0700 The Effectiveness of Cucumber Juice on Hypertension Patients Blood Pressure https://ejournal.poltekkesjakarta1.ac.id/index.php/perawat/article/view/1334
Hypertension is currently one of the non-communicable diseases which is a very serious health problem. The prevalence
of hypertension in West Sumatra was recorded at 25.16% of the national prevalence of 34.1%. Management of
hypertension is through pharmacological therapy, namely by taking medication for life, and can also be accompanied by
non-pharmacological therapy, one of which is cucumber juice therapy. The research aims to determine the effectiveness
of cucumber juice on blood pressure in hypertensive patients. The research used a quasi-experimental method (one group
pre-post test design). Conducted in Surau Gadang Village, Padang City with a sample size of 11 people obtained through
purposive sampling technique. The pre-test results showed that the average systolic blood pressure was 145.45 mmHg
and the average diastolic blood pressure was 81.82 mmHg and the post-test results showed that the average systolic
blood pressure was 121.82 mmHg and the average diastolic blood pressure was 71. 82 mmHg. Conclusion Cucumber
juice is effective in reducing blood pressure in hypertensive patients. It is hoped that health workers, especially nurses,
can provide health education about the use of cucumbers as a form of hypertension therapy.
Yosi Suryarinilsih, Hanifa Putri, Defia Roza Copyright (c) 2023 Journal of Health and Cardiovascular Nursing http://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/4.0 https://ejournal.poltekkesjakarta1.ac.id/index.php/perawat/article/view/1334 Mon, 11 Dec 2023 00:00:00 +0700 Literature Review: Health Behavior Changes in Heart Disease Patients Based on Smartphone Game Applications https://ejournal.poltekkesjakarta1.ac.id/index.php/perawat/article/view/1462
Background: changing health behavior in heart disease patients is a complex process and tends to be difficult to carry
out.
