PENGGUNAAN GALAKTOGOG ALAMI PADA IBU NIFAS
USE OF NATURAL GALACTAGOGUES IN POSTPARTUM MOTHERS

Masa nifas merupakan periode kritis di mana terjadi perubahan fisiologis dan psikologis serta merupakan awal dari proses menyusui yang merupakan kunci dari strategi pembangunan berkelanjutan. Namun, adanya persepsi ketidakcukupan Air Susu Ibu (ASI) dapat menyebabkan ibu berhenti menyusui. Galaktogog alami merupakan zat yang dapat meningkatkan produksi ASI, umumnya bersumber dari sediaan herbal (tumbuhan) atau makanan. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui penggunaan galaktogog alami dalam meningkatkan produksi ASI pada ibu nifas. Metode penelitian ini adalah literature review. Sumber data diperoleh dari literatur berupa artikel jurnal internasional dan nasional pada database elektronik Cochrane Library , PubMed ,ProQuest dan Google Scholar yang terbit pada tahun 2020 sampai tahun 2023. Jumlah artikel yang memenuhi kriteria dan dilakukan review sebanyak 7 artikel. Hasil review menunjukkan bahwa galaktogog alami seperti fenugreek, adas, jahe, teh herbal Wang Nam Yen, barley malt, biskuit daun katuk dan jus kelakai dapat meningkatkan produksi ASI pada ibu nifas. Berdasarkan hal tersebut, dapat diartikan bahwa penggunaan galaktogog alami berpengaruh terhadap peningkatan produksi ASI pada ibu nifas dan bukti yang mendukung komposisi nutrisi, fitokimia, efikasi serta keamanannya perlu dilakukan penelitian lebih lanjut.Downloads
